Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for the Cardiopulmonary Care Unit at Memorial Regional Medical Center. This PRN role focuses on direct patient care under RN guidance, ensuring safety, comfort, and accurate documentation across shifts.

You will collaborate with nurses and healthcare teams, perform delegated tasks, and support patient mobility and independence. EPIC EHR training is preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in acute care, physician's office, home health/hospice, or long term care facility preferred.
• Must have completed nursing aide training program.
• Successful passing of STNA, CNA, or Nurse Aide state testing as applicable.
• Graduate of an accredited high school or GED and must complete RSF PCT Training Program upon hire.

Responsabilités

• Provides direct patient care under supervision, including basic care and mobility support.
• Acts as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes or concerns.
• Delivers high-level customer service to patients and families.
• Documents patient care accurately and timely in the charting system.
• Participates in hand-off/report of pertinent information on arrival and departure.
• Performs delegated tasks upon competency validation.
• Mobilizes patients using safe transfer techniques.
• Encourages patient independence and individualizes care based on interests.
