Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital is seeking a Part-time Patient Care Tech for the Cardiac Intermediate unit (BCVI) in Winfield, IL. The role supports RN staff with basic patient care, monitoring and daily living activities on a 26-bed unit.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA/CMA/EMT or nursing student with one semester of clinical completed.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic nursing care activities as delegated by an RN.
• Monitors vital signs and documents I&O and daily metrics.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, feeding).
• Reports abnormal findings to nursing staff promptly.
• Maintains clean and orderly patient rooms and supports unit operations.
• Prioritizes tasks and manages unit workflow in collaboration with RN/charge.
• Answers calls and communicates with staff, patients, and families.
