Job summary

The Johns Hopkins Hospital seeks a Registered Nurse Lead for the Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (CVPCU) to provide clinical and operational leadership on day-to-day nursing operations. The RN Lead will oversee staffing, staff development, and patient care coordination with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include mentoring staff, conducting evaluations, leading initiatives, and partnering with the Nurse Manager to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care across levels of acuity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• Active Maryland or Compact RN license required.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• Minimum of 3 years acute care RN work experience required.
• Charge/preceptor experience leading committees and scheduling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives and support the Nurse Manager in day-to-day operations of the unit.
• Mentor and empower nursing staff, fostering a culture of quality, safety, collaboration, and professional growth.
