Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, IL is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for the Coronary Care Unit (CCU). You will deliver safe patient care using the nursing process, assess and respond to cardiac patient conditions, and collaborate with physicians to manage monitoring and treatments.

The role requires an IL RN license, BLS and ACLS, and basic arrhythmia interpretation within specified timelines. BSN is preferred, with acute care and ventilator management experience welcomed.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license in Illinois.
• BLS certification required at hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Basic arrhythmia interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process in the CCU.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and supervise nursing staff.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians and monitor cardiac status.
