Job summary

Prime Healthcare Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, IL is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality care in the ICU (Medical/Surgical/Neuro ICU) cross-trained to CVICU. The role requires strong assessment, planning and coordination within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

This full-time day shift (7a-7p) includes rotating weekends and holidays with self-scheduling. Current state RN license, BLS, ACLS, and critical care experience are essential; BSN and CCRN

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process and assess, plan, implement, and evaluate.
• Provide patient/family teaching and supervise nursing staff while maintaining standards in ICU.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians and monitor hemodynamics and test results.
