Job summary

Cleveland Clinic’s Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute is hiring a caregiver for J61/J63 cardiovascular telemetry units. You will work under an RN, performing patient-care tasks and monitoring vitals in a fast-paced cardiac setting.

Night shifts run 7:00pm–7:30am with rotating weekends and holidays. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and BLS certification; military experience is valued, and nursing students may substitute clinical rotations for experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include High School Diploma or GED.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross within new hire period.
• Military experience as HM/68W/4N0X1 considered.
• Nursing students with clinical rotation substitution may qualify.

Responsibilities

• Provide or assist with patient care under RN supervision, including checking vitals and weight.
• Assist patients with personal care and dressing changes.
• Perform point-of-care testing and apply external monitoring devices.
• Remove urinary Foley catheters as directed.
• Report abnormal conditions to an RN and maintain clean, orderly rooms.
