Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Proof of health assessment and nursing foundation courses may be considered in lieu of CNA/MA/EMT designation.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association is required.
• CNA/MA/EMT designation is required.
• Current Colorado CNA license or EMT-B/A-EMT/EMT-Intermediate is required.

Responsibilities

• Attends to individual patient needs including grooming, bathing, feeding, and mobility.
• Checks vital signs, weighs patients, applies creams/ointments, dressings, and collects specimens.
• Transports patients, answers call lights, and reports observations to the healthcare team.
• Records and communicates issues to medical team members.
• Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
• Stores and prepares rooms and medical equipment for patient use.
• Participates in departmental committees and projects as assigned.
