Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Cardiac Arrhythmia Tech - Telemetry Technician to monitor EKG rhythms and support patient care at our Detroit/Jackson campus. You will identify normal and abnormal rhythms and notify staff during emergencies.

Responsibilities include maintaining telemetry equipment, operating central monitoring systems, and troubleshooting as needed. Candidates should have a high school diploma (or GED) and complete an arrhythmia course with testing.

Role Overview: As a Cardiac Arrhythmia Tech, you will play a critical role in monitoring and identifying normal and abnormal EKG rhythms using telemetry monitoring equipment. You will support patient care by notifying appropriate personnel in emergencies and maintaining cardiac monitoring equipment for all admitted, discharged, or transferred patients.

• Required Qualifications: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Successful completion of an arrhythmia course during the introductory period, including written and verbal testing. Demonstrated competency in operating telemetry monitoring equipment and troubleshooting. Ability to multitask and operate equipment in stressful or emergent situations.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous health care experience such as EKG Technician, Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, Nursing Assistant, and/or education in cardiac monitoring.
