Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze cardiac telemetry data for multiple patients simultaneously, identifying and reporting arrhythmias and abnormal rhythms in a timely manner.
  • Recognize and interpret various cardiac rhythms, including normal sinus rhythm, atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, and other clinically significant arrhythmias.
  • Maintain accurate and organized patient monitoring records, documenting all significant cardiac events and rhythm changes.
  • Respond promptly to patient alarms and alerts, assessing situations and communicating findings to nursing and physician staff.
  • Operate and troubleshoot telemetry monitoring equipment, ensuring all devices are functioning properly and patients are connected appropriately.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to support patient care decisions and interventions based on telemetry findings.
  • Adhere to all hospital protocols, policies, and patient safety standards during night shift operations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations in all patient interactions and documentation.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and report any technical issues to appropriate departments.
