Job summary

Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital in Michigan is looking for a Cardiac Arrhythmia Tech (Part-Time, 24 hours/week) to monitor normal and abnormal EKG rhythms, support patient care, and promptly notify the appropriate staff in emergencies.

You will maintain and troubleshoot telemetry equipment, operate the central station monitoring system, and contribute to safe, high-quality cardiac care for admitted, discharged, or transferred patients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
• Successful completion of an arrhythmia course during the introductory period.
• Demonstrated competency in operating telemetry monitoring equipment and troubleshooting.

Role Overview

As a Cardiac Arrhythmia Tech, you will play a critical role in monitoring and identifying normal and abnormal electrocardiogram (EKG) rhythms using telemetry monitoring equipment. You will support patient care by notifying appropriate personnel in emergencies and maintaining cardiac monitoring equipment for all admitted, discharged, or transferred patients. Your expertise ensures the safety and well-being of our patients in stressful or emergent situations.

Qualifications

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Successful completion of an arrhythmia course, including written and verbal testing, during the introductory period.
• Demonstrated competency in operating telemetry monitoring equipment and troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous health care experience as an EKG Technician, Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, Nursing Assistant, or education in cardiac monitoring.
