Job summary

Trinity Health's Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring, MD, is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) for a 30-bed Acute/Cardiac unit. The role covers daily bedside care, medication administration, and discharge education in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate has an accredited nursing degree, RN licensure, BLS, and at least 1 year of acute care experience, preferably cardiac. BSN/MSN preferred; flexible schedules and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with RN licensure.
• BSN or MSN preferred; time-bound agreement to obtain degree if not held at hire.
• Current BLS certification and excellent communication skills.
• Experience in acute care, preferably cardiac, with nursing IT competency.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patient-centered care.
• Communicate variances from patient goals and advocate for patients.
• Maintain accurate and timely healthcare records.
• Administer medications, educate patients, monitor efficacy and adverse effects.
• Assess, monitor, and record patient condition and changes.
• Design and evaluate nursing care plans with the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families during stay and at discharge.
