Lake Michigan Credit Union in Grand Rapids, MI seeks a Card Services Specialist I to assist members and teammates with debit, credit, and ATM card services, including replacements, renewals, and blocks. You’ll research inquiries, protect member information, and ensure accurate records.

Strong communication, problem‑solving, and attention to detail are essential as you monitor for fraud and deliver exceptional service while collaborating across departments.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in a credit union/bank or card services.
• Experience with debit card, credit card, ATM, or payment processing functions.
• Experience researching and resolving member accounts or transaction issues.
• Experience using financial systems or card processing platforms.

Responsibilities

• Research and investigate card inquiries by phone and other channels, providing accurate and professional service.
• Respond to questions regarding debit, credit, ATM cards, account services, transactions, payments, and card-related products and services.
• Resolve member and employee issues within established authority levels and escalate when needed with recommendations.
• Verify member identities using established verification procedures to protect member information and prevent fraud.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and promptly report potential fraud or policy violations.
• Process card maintenance requests, including replacements, renewals, blocks, and other card servicing functions.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all member/account information is updated per data governance standards.
• Deliver exceptional member service with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency while collaborating with teammates.
