Job summary

Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation in East Hanover, NJ is seeking an Expert Science & Technology to develop, optimize, and implement analytical methods for CAR-T cell products. The role sits in the Technical Research and Development group and collaborates with Process Development, Quality Control, and Manufacturing Sciences to meet timelines with high data integrity.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS or MS in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology or related science, with 3+ years industry experience.
  • Understanding of principles underpinning cellular analytics incl. ELISA and cell-based assays.
  • Aseptic technique and mammalian cell culture experience.
  • Good communication with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with problem solving and decision making.
  • Experience with GMP is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, perform and document scientific experiments under moderate supervision.
  • Perform analytical testing including flow cytometry and cell-based bioassays (cytokine release, cytolytic activity, proliferation).
  • Review and approve data generated by other team members.
  • Record and maintain meticulous records in electronic laboratory notebook per Quality standards.
  • Identify opportunities for method improvement and optimize analytical methods.
  • Drive project timelines and deliverables while ensuring data integrity.
  • Communicate effectively and present complex data within the department and cross-functionally.
  • Author and review method-related technical documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Support lab management including inventorying and sample management.
