Job summary

Novartis Group of Companies is seeking an Expert Science & Technology to develop, optimize, and implement analytical methods for CAR‑T cell therapies in East Hanover, NJ. You will contribute to potency and flow analyses, participate in method transfer, and collaborate with Process Development and Quality teams to meet timelines while upholding data integrity.

The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, cross-functional communication, and scientific excellence in a fast-paced, onsite environment.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS or MS in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology or other related science, plus a minimum of 3 year of prior experience in industry or academia.
  • Experience handling cells in culture with aseptic technique.
  • Knowledge of flow cytometry and cell-based bioassays (cytokine release, cytolytic activity, proliferation).
  • Ability to communicate clearly with cross-functional teams and maintain meticulous records in a regulated environment.
  • Experience writing SOPs and technical instructions; GMP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, perform and document scientific experiments under moderate supervision.
  • Perform analytical testing including flow cytometry and cell-based bioassays.
  • Review and approve data generated by other team members.
  • Record and maintain meticulous electronic records in compliance withQuality standards.
  • Identify opportunities for method improvement and optimize analytical methods.
  • Drive project timelines and deliverables while maintaining data integrity.
  • Communicate complex data within the department and cross-functionally.
  • Author and review method-related technical documents for completeness and clarity.
  • Support lab management including inventorying and sample management.
