Job summary

Woods Collision Center is seeking an Estimator to determine repair costs and timelines for vehicle damages, while negotiating insurance payments and clearly communicating costs to customers. The role requires analyzing damage, preparing cost estimates, and drafting work orders within our CollisionRight system.

Qualified candidates will have 1–3 years in collision repair, strong knowledge of vehicle structures, safety awareness, and excellent attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in collision repair
• Knowledge of vehicle structure for removing/replacing damaged components
• Demonstration of safety precautions in performing duties
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written/verbal instructions
• Ability to lift 35 lb regularly and up to 70 lb occasionally
• Physical agility and coordination for climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and balancing
• Strong negotiation skills and commitment to customer service
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment

Responsibilities

• Inspect all parts of the vehicle needing repair, replacement, or repainting
• Assess vehicle damage via inspections
• Estimate labor and car part costs for repairs
• Prepare insurance forms showing repair costs
• Explain vehicle damage, costs, and insurance to customers
• Draft work orders and enter into CollisionRight system
• Maintain records of repairs in company files
