Hornblower Corp seeks a Master to safely operate Seaward Explorer and oversee crew safety on a for-hire, multi-purpose vessel. The Master will ensure compliance with USCG and international standards and will provide a safe charter platform for clients.

The role requires leadership, strong regulatory knowledge, and the ability to make sound decisions in diverse operations, with duties spanning from drills to safety audits and risk management.

Qualificações

• MMC (Merchant Mariners Credential) required.
• Minimum 1600 Ton Masters License.
• OICNW required.
• Valid U.S. Passport.
• USCG Medical Certificate.
• TWIC Card.
• Ability to pass a physical exam.
• Ability to pass a written exam.

Responsabilidades

• Operate and manage vessels within legal requirements (USCG, FCC, IMO-HSC, Class Society).
• Ensure trained crew are aboard and assigned per USCG regs and procedures.
• Perform pre-boarding/disembarkation duties and vessel underway tasks.
• Ensure charts/publications are available for routes.
• Supervise safe mooring and crew manning as needed.
• Participate in interviewing/training/evaluations of deck staff.
• Maintain vessel logs/reports as required by law/company policy.
• Serve as onboard Risk Manager and take corrective actions.
