Job summary

Summer Garden Food Manufacturing in McClurg, OH is seeking an Operator, Capper for 1st shift to run and maintain the capper on the production line. You will set up, adjust, test for pull up, vacuum and security to meet quality standards and coordinate with supervision to meet daily targets.

The role requires a high school diploma, up to 3 years manufacturing experience, and the ability to lift 50–80 pounds, work in hot or cold environments. In-house forklift certification is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 3 years manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• Frequent lifting of weights up to 80 pounds.
• Ability to push or pull material in excess of 315 pounds.
• Frequently required to stand, walk and bend.
• Manual dexterity with ability to reach with hands and arms.
• Able to read and write English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, change over and adjust the capper.
• Test for pull up, vacuum and security to meet company standards.
• Clean the capper area as required.
• Fill out job paperwork and enter into touch screen system.
• Follow safety regulations and procedures (OSHA, GMP, SQF).
• Operate forklift and Pallet Jack as required (in-house certification provided).
• Stage necessary caps for the shift's production.
