Job summary

Lassonde Pappas & Co., Inc in Oregon is seeking a production operator to run the capper on the daily schedule. You will set up, operate, adjust, and monitor the capper, complete required paperwork, and ensure compliance with safety, GMP, SQF/OSHA standards.

The role includes lifting up to 80 pounds, standing and bending for long periods, and operating a forklift when trained. This is a family-owned atmosphere focused on safety, quality, and teamwork in a fast-paced production area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 3 years manufacturing experience (Preferred but not required).
• Frequent lifting of weights up to 80 pounds.
• Ability to push or pull material in excess of 315 pounds.
• Frequently required to stand, walk and bend.
• Manual dexterity with ability to reach with hands and arms.
• Regularly required to talk, hear and see.
• Able to read and write English fluently with ability to see.
• Climbing ladders and stairs often.
• Able to work in both hot/humid and cold environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, change over and adjust the capper.
• Test for pull up, vacuum and security to meet company standards.
• Clean the capper area as required.
• Fill out paperwork required for the job and enter it into the touch screen system.
• Follow safety regulations and procedures required by SGFM/Quality/SQF/GMPs/OSHA regulations/Preventative Controls.
• Operate a forklift and Pallet Jack as required to move pallets.
• Stage the necessary caps for the shift's production.
• Complete instructions and goals set by their supervisor.
• All other necessary duties as assigned by Supervisor.
