Job summary

The State of Colorado is seeking a Legislative Aide to provide operational support to a member of the Colorado General Assembly in Denver. The role covers administrative tasks, communications, and constituent services, with duties expanding during the legislative session from January through May.

Two aides may be hired per member; Senior Aide status carries insurance benefits. Hours are year-round and may require extensive commitment during session, including evenings and weekends as calendars

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication with a professional tone.
• Highly organized with ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated confidentiality and discretion when handling constituent information.
• Experience with Google Workspace and social media platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the legislative office and calendar.
• Coordinate meetings with constituents, stakeholders, and lobbyists.
• Draft newsletters and create social media content for the legislator.
• Support policy research and prepare materials for hearings and briefings.
• Organize district events and community engagement activities.
• Maintain organized databases of contacts and interactions.
• Represent the legislator professionally in various settings.
• Assist with errands, procurement, and off-site logistics as needed.
