Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking a Supervisory Risk & Controls professional to support the expansion of the program across Capital Solutions Group within Global Banking & Markets, focusing on implementing effective desk controls and governance processes.

The role involves collaborating with bankers, Compliance, Legal and Engineering to drive consistency and escalation of supervisory activities across GBM Private and related teams. A Bachelor’s degree and 4–5 years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 4-5 years of relevant work experience.
• Prior knowledge of banking activities including financing, origination, structuring & underwriting preferred.
• Familiarity with securities markets, derivative products, deal flows.
• Strong time and project management/organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to handle a fast-paced environment; communicate factually and influentially.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of Capital Solutions Group (CSG) business activities
• Support the development of the supervisory framework for CSG business activities, including desk controls, monitoring & tools
• Define and implement appropriate controls to manage risk, including supervisor expectations and escalation
• Support governance processes to drive monitoring & oversight for the covered controls
• Build relationships with stakeholder groups to implement the program, including bankers, Compliance, Engineering, Legal and others
• Engage with GBM Public side teams to drive consistency across the divisional supervisory program and related monitoring
