Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a Consulting Manager for its Construction and Real Estate Advisory practice to lead program reviews, contract cost audits, and real estate management assessments across the United States.

You will supervise fieldwork, coordinate with project teams, and deliver actionable recommendations to clients, ensuring compliance, transparency, and value across capital projects and portfolios. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of related experience in construction management, real estate advisory, or capital projects consulting.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, Construction Management, Accounting, or related field; professional certifications preferred.
• Knowledge of construction phases, procurement, scheduling, cost estimating, and real estate portfolio management.
• Experience conducting contract compliance audits and real estate lease activity for public or private sector clients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to produce audit work papers and client reports.
• Ability to oversee project management activities, coordinate schedules and budgets, and travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Conduct reviews of construction and real estate management processes and controls to identify improvement opportunities.
• Assess construction contracts, real estate leases, and capital project performance for compliance and best practices.
• Provide actionable recommendations to improve transparency, accountability, and efficiency.
• Lead fieldwork: data collection, site visits, interviews; prepare reports and client-ready presentations.
• Collaborate with project managers, asset managers, legal counsel, contractors, and clients to support oversight and risk mitigation.
• Support clients through real estate and capital project lifecycles from acquisition to disposition.
