Job summary

Baker Tilly US is seeking a Construction and Real Estate Advisory Manager to perform program reviews, contract cost audits, and real estate assessments across the United States. You will develop industry knowledge, provide best-practice consulting, and work with project managers, asset managers, and clients to address complex capital projects and real estate challenges.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of related experience in construction management, real estate advisory, or capital projects consulting.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, Construction Management, Accounting, or a related field; CPA, CIA, CCA, CFE, PMP, or PE is preferred.
• Knowledge of construction phases including planning, pre-construction, procurement, contract administration, scheduling, cost estimating, reporting, closeout; real estate portfolio management, lease administration, and property operations.
• Experience conducting contract compliance audits, CAM reconciliations, and performance monitoring for public or private sector clients preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to produce organized research, audit work papers, and client-facing reports.
• Oversee and support project management activities, coordinating schedules, budgets, resources, and stakeholder communications; ensure timely delivery.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% to support client engagements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough reviews of construction and real estate management processes and controls to identify improvement opportunities.
• Assess construction contracts, real estate lease agreements, and capital project performance for compliance and best practices.
• Provide actionable recommendations to enhance transparency, accountability, and efficiency.
• Lead fieldwork: data collection, site visits, interviews, and documenting findings; prepare reports and presentations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support project oversight, risk mitigation, and dispute resolution.
• Support clients through the real estate and capital project lifecycle—acquisition, development, operations, and disposition.
