Advantage Technical is seeking a Project Controls Specialist in Alameda, CA on a contract assignment. The role focuses on developing budgets, schedules, and performance benchmarks for major capital projects, with responsibilities spanning from early design through execution.

The candidate will create baselines, track scope and costs, align progress with vendors, and support forecasting and risk reduction across large and smaller projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in project controls, cost estimating, scheduling, or capital project planning.
• Knowledge of cost management, project scheduling, and performance tracking methodologies.
• Ability to analyze project data and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop project estimates, budgets, and detailed schedules for capital projects.
• Create and maintain cost and schedule baselines throughout project planning phases.
• Track project scope, cost, and schedule performance to support informed decision-making.
• Align engineering progress with contractor and vendor deliverables.
• Support project forecasting, risk reduction, and variance tracking activities.
• Coordinate planning transitions for larger projects moving into execution.
• Assist with project controls activities on smaller projects through implementation.
