Job summary

The Metropolitan District Commission (MDC) invites applications for a Project Manager who will supervise the development and implementation of the District's Capital Improvement Program. The role requires overseeing major engineering projects, coordinating internal and external teams, and ensuring safety, cost, and schedule adherence across infrastructure upgrades.

Ideal candidates hold a civil/ environmental/ electrical engineering degree and at least six years of relevant municipal project

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or electrical engineering or closely related field.
  • Six years of progressively responsible engineering design and/or project management experience for municipal utilities or public works.
  • Must possess knowledge of public works engineering principles and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee development and implementation of Capital Improvement Program with environmental documentation.
  • Supervise engineering review of project requests and assignment of projects to staff.
  • Develop schedules, manage critical path, and control project budgets.
  • Provide technical guidance to consultants, contractors, and district staff.
  • Coordinate with the public and government agencies; present project reports and summaries.
  • Review designs, approve change orders, and ensure compliance with contracts and standards.
