Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Columbia, SC seeks a Project Manager for capital improvement projects. You will lead project management processes on low to medium complexity projects and manage small teams up to 10 members.

You will report to the Program Manager, CFFF Projects Design Engineering & Plant Mods and work 100% onsite, handling planning, cost control, risk, and change management. Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s in a related field, PMI PMBOK familiarity, CAPM, and 4 years PM

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in project management, engineering, construction, manufacturing, or business.
Familiarization with PMBOK; CAPM certification.
Four years of project management experience or equivalent combination.
Experience with MS Project and Primavera P6.

Responsibilities

Develop charter and initial funding request following stage gate process.
Plan project plans, scope, schedule, budget, and integrate baselines.
Manage project execution to meet quality, schedule, and financial goals per department protocols.
Maintain requirements traceability matrix and risk registers.
Prepare and oversee project cost expenditures and capital forecasting.
Understand EV, SPI, and CPI metrics.
Develop and oversee project databases and documentation transmission.
Manage changes following integrated change control.
Close project by archiving assets and completing stage gate reporting.
Perform final assessments and identify improvements and lessons learned.
