Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in architecture or engineering.
• Five to seven years’ experience managing complex design and construction projects.
• Working knowledge of architecture, engineering and design principles, building systems, code regulations and construction practices.
• Ability to manage and coordinate the work of consultants, contractors and others.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with word processing, spreadsheets and data management systems.
• Ability to access construction/facility sites.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage multiple technically complex capital project activities with in-house and outside consultants, including preparing consultant contracts.
• Supervise resident engineers assigned to surveillance of construction activity on multiple projects.
• Manage feasibility studies and prepare program information, coordinating interdepartmental work.
• Review planning and contract documents for compatibility with University standards.
• Prepare financial analyses and cost estimates; establish and monitor budget.
