Job summary

Peyton Resource Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager - Capital Projects to lead planning and execution of major industrial capital investments in the United States. You will act as Owner's Representative, guiding multidisciplinary teams from concept through startup and handover to operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical leadership, stakeholder management, and a proven track record delivering capital projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of project leadership experience in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated experience managing capital projects exceeding $5M total installed cost.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, specs, and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of industrial construction, project controls, contractor management, commissioning, and facility infrastructure systems.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, I&C, Chemical, Materials).
• Ability to manage project budgets, forecasts, schedules, and cost reporting.
• Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project; excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead project development activities, including scope definition, feasibility studies, conceptual design, and detailed engineering.
• Develop project execution strategies and delivery plans aligned with objectives.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, manufacturing, procurement, finance, and EHS to define requirements.
• Establish budgets, cost estimates, schedules, resource plans, and risk mitigation.
• Oversee EPC firms, equipment vendors, system integrators, and construction contractors.
• Track performance and manage schedule, cost, quality, scope, and risk.
• Lead meetings, stakeholder communications, and executive reporting.
• Mentor project engineers and technical team members.
• Promote best practices in project controls and capital planning.
