Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan seeks a Capital Projects Estimator at our Phoenix HQ. The role involves developing, reviewing, and benchmarking capital project estimates in line with corporate procedures, supporting senior estimators, and coordinating with cross-functional teams across Project Controls, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction.

The candidate should have a High School Diploma or GED with relevant construction experience or a Bachelor's in a related field, and be proficient in MS Office with

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with four years of construction projects experience or
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Business, Finance, or a related field; proficiency in MS Office; strong communication and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Validate and benchmark contractor estimates using internal/external data sources.
• Assist senior estimators on large capital project estimates.
• Support yearly estimating corporate initiatives.
• Review estimates, execution plans, bids and proposals for completeness and compliance.
• Develop Owner’s costs with Project Controls Manager.
• Ensure corporate estimating SOPs are followed.
