Job summary

Michigan Milk Producers Association is seeking a Capital Project Engineer at the Ovid, MI facility to lead capital projects from concept through commissioning and turnover. You will collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Quality to deliver safe, reliable, and high-throughput manufacturing improvements.

Qualifications include a bachelor's in engineering and at least five years of capital project management experience in manufacturing, plus strong communication and vendor management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Minimum of five (5) years of engineering and/or capital project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing projects from concept through commissioning and startup.
• Experience working with contractors, vendors, engineering consultants, and equipment suppliers.
• Strong understanding of industrial equipment, manufacturing systems, and project management principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital planning and project development to identify opportunities that improve reliability, capacity, throughput, safety, and performance.
• Develop project scopes, conceptual designs, technical alternatives, cost estimates, and schedules; support long-range capital plans.
• Identify modernization opportunities and coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver value.
• Lead capital projects from approved scope through completion and ensure safe, on-time, within-budget delivery.
