Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Eight (8) years of related experience in design and construction, including five (5) years of supervisory experience.
• Current, valid, and unrestricted driver’s license.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• Experience in higher education settings.
• Experience in commercial settings, including research laboratory construction.
• Familiarity with GS FIC processes.
• Professional Architectural or Engineering license.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and is responsible for leadership and performance of the design and construction team to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget.
• Manages the full project lifecycle from design oversight through construction administration and closeout.
• Reviews design deliverables for completeness, code compliance, and alignment with program requirements.
• Manages architect, engineer, and design consultant relationships including selection, scope development, contract negotiation, and ongoing evaluation.
