Job summary

University of South Carolina is seeking a Construction and Renovation Assistant Project Manager to support the Division of Student Affairs and Academic Support. You will assist with coordinating projects from predesign through closeout, working under the Director of Construction and Renovation, and will act as the division's client representative when assigned.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in a job related field and 2+ years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight, consultation, and support for SAAS construction and renovation projects.
• Work collaboratively with interior design team, ensuring alignment with project timelines and supporting seamless integration of design requirements into construction workflows.
• Manage projects through complete project cycle (predesign meetings, site investigation, schematic design, construction documents, construction administration). Field questions related to assigned projects.
• Communicate and disseminate project information; provide guidance and training on design and construction administrative processes.
• Research and advise on planning, design, and construction best practices.
• Delivers guidance, training, and consultation on South Carolina state design and construction procurement standards.
• Meet with and effectively communicate with SAAS construction and renovation clients in a positive manner, develop design criteria and offers design solutions to meet their renovation needs, while adhering to code requirements.
