Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a Sr Manager / Deputy Director of Facilities/Construction Management to drive a $500M-$1B semiconductor capital program at Fab 9 in Essex Junction, VT. You will lead internal teams and contractors, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget alignment while interfacing with the General Contractor.

Ideal candidates have 15+ years in large industrial construction, 10+ years leading project teams, and hands-on experience with cleanrooms, tooling, utilities, and startup

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
• 15+ years leading large industrial construction projects.
• 10+ years managing technical and project teams.
• Experience as owner’s representative or client-side leader on major capital projects.
• Proven success delivering complex projects in fast-paced environments.
• Experience managing programs exceeding $500M in total project value.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of a $500M-$1B semiconductor capital program.
• Serve as GlobalFoundries’ primary construction representative and liaison with the General Contractor.
• Oversee contractor performance, risk management, and executive reviews.
• Manage construction and integration of cleanrooms, process tools, utilities, HVAC, and commissioning activities.
• Lead and develop construction and project management teams.
• Partner with Facilities, Manufacturing, Engineering, EHS, Procurement, Finance, and Leadership to align execution with priorities.
• Champion a world-class safety culture and drive continuous improvement in construction execution.
