ArborMetrics is seeking a Capital Planner to join our outdoor vegetation management team in Illinois. You will organize field records, review sites for habitat considerations, and safely patrol energy corridors to identify vegetation actions per client standards.

The role emphasizes GIS proficiency, strong communication, and problem-solving skills while working both independently and with a team in variable outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• Requires associate or bachelor’s degree in forestry, natural resources, or related field.
• Experience in forestry, arboriculture, horticulture, or tree-related green industry preferred.
• Knowledge of tree identification and GIS is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Organize records, maps, and paperwork for patrol circuits; maintain accurate documentation.
• Review work sites for endangered species, habitats, and vegetation compliance.
• Safely patrol energy corridors; identify vegetation for pruning, removal, or protection.
• Classify work using field conditions, including herbicide use and ANSI standards.
• Conduct Tree Risk Assessments and document growth rates.
