Cooley LLP, a leading global law firm, is seeking a Capital Markets resource attorney in San Francisco. The role supports regulatory updates, client alerts and materials for issuers and investment banks, with emphasis on governance and SEC reporting requirements.

The position emphasizes collaboration with Marketing, Professional Development and IS to enhance knowledge sharing and efficiency across the Capital Markets practice group.

Qualifications

• Licensed attorney with at least 5 years of capital markets experience representing issuers and investment banks.
• Strong understanding of corporate governance and SEC reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Keep current on legal and regulatory developments for the Capital Markets practice group.
• Develop topics for client alerts, white papers and external-facing tools and resources.
• Develop and maintain internal practice resources to enhance know-how exchange and client interaction.
• Create, maintain and update archives of work product and know-how within the Capital Markets group.
• Assist with coordination of speaking engagements, webinars and materials.
• Maintain and update forms and templates for the Capital Markets group reflecting current developments.
• Collaborate with Marketing to formulate and execute branding and presence for Capital Markets.
• Provide information to Marketing to assist responses to RFPs and business development opportunities.
• Coordinate with Professional Development to support skills development and firm-wide training.
• Coordinate with Information Services and Practice Innovation to assess and adopt new technologies to improve efficiency.
