Job summary
Cooley is seeking an Associate Development Manager to join the Professional Development team to support staffing, utilization, integration and development of associates in Capital Markets. This role involves working with practice group leaders to allocate work and monitor development, while coordinating with Legal Talent on hiring targets and onboarding.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of direct experience with staffing and work allocation in a large law firm or professional services organization.
- Senior level candidates must have 7+ years applicable experience in the field with 2+ years of exempt/management experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, iManage and other firm applications.
Responsibilities
- Manage the work allocation process for associates in the group.
- Monitor workloads and associate development and allocate new matters equitably.
- Track, aggregate and analyze associate metrics including availability and utilization rates.
- Support the associate performance review process and provide coaching where needed.
- Facilitate onboarding and integration of new hires and conduct exit interviews for feedback.
