Job summary
Affirm is seeking a Counsel II, Capital Markets to join our Corporate Affairs team. You will structure and negotiate capital markets transactions, advise on lending and securities laws, and support partnerships with banks and other financial institutions.
The role reports to the Director, Capital Markets Counsel and requires 5+ years of relevant experience. The position offers remote-first work with flexibility, a competitive base salary, comprehensive benefits, and equity opportunities.
Qualifications
- JD degree from a well-regarded law school and bar in good standing.
- 5+ years of law-firm experience; in-house fintech experience preferred.
- Experience in structured and debt finance, term loans, securitizations.
- Strong integrity and business judgment; excellent negotiation skills.
- Ability to work with internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
- Support the capital markets team in building out the company’s network of capital sources and strategies.
- Draft, review and negotiate all US and international capital markets deal documents.
- Guide financing transactions from strategy discussions to deal execution.
- Communicate legal advice clearly and timely.
- Support bank partnerships and other special projects.
