Job summary

Nuveen's Capital Markets Associate role offers broad exposure to ABS securitizations, lending facilities, private funds, and SMAs, with end-to-end visibility from structuring to ongoing management. You'll support senior team members on new transactions and maintenance of existing facilities, gaining insight into how institutional financing vehicles are built and rated.

You will build cash flow models, develop rating agency stress scenarios, and coordinate with stakeholders across deal execution

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in structured finance, asset-backed finance, capital markets, or a similar role, preferably with exposure to securitized products.
• Advanced Excel modeling skills, with hands-on experience building structured finance waterfalls and cash flow analyses.
• Familiarity with rating agency methodologies and stress testing approaches.
• Experience in Bloomberg and preparing investor-facing diligence materials.

Responsibilities

• Support execution, structuring, rating, and legal coordination for new transactions across pooled investment vehicles.
• Support ongoing management and maintenance of existing facilities and vehicles post-closing.
• Coordinate with senior team members on execution of new transactions and portfolio maintenance.
• Build and maintain cash flows models for new transaction structuring and post-closing updates.
• Build rating agency stress scenarios and cash flow waterfalls to test ABS structures.
• Manage key aspects of transaction execution and diligence from mandate to close.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders on transaction status and develop monitoring tools.
