Job summary

STENA in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Capital Budget and Fixed Asset Analyst to manage capital budgeting processes from project request through capitalization and fixed asset accounting, ensuring accurate GAAP reporting. You will build internal controls, streamline processes, and support the general ledger with asset registers, leveraging SAP or Oracle and Excel to deliver timely insights.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in accounting or fixed assets, with strong communication

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college plus 5 years of experience in Accounting Operations or Fixed Assets Management.
  • This position involves access to export-controlled technology requiring U.S. Person status or government authorization.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Experience with SAP and/or Oracle is required.

What YOU will do

Responsible for general accounting and policy application for all cycles including Fixed Assets and General Ledger. Create Business Models for Capital Expenditures. Control and Responsibility for Capital Budget and Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register.

What YOU must bring to Succeed
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college plus 5 years of experience in Accounting Operations or Fixed Assets Management.
  • This position involves access to export-controlled technology which requires U.S. Person status or government authorization. A ‘U.S. Person,’ as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62, includes U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, individuals lawfully admitted for permanent residence (green card holders), and individuals granted asylum or refugee status in the United States. To be considered for this position, you must either be a U.S. Person or fall within a legally recognized export control exception or authorization. If hired, you will be required to provide valid proof of such status.

Estimate salary range for this role: $88,200 to $129,000 per year. ST Engineering MRAS considers several factors with extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, education/training/certification, job level, and work location. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
