Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting with 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Experience with capital assets, depreciation, transfers and disposals.
• Proficiency in Excel including formulas, lookups and pivot tables.
• Experience using accounting software and performing reconciliations.
• Knowledge of GAAP and GASB guidance and internal controls.
• Ability to communicate accounting information to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze financial transactions for capital assets and maintain asset records.
• Collaborate with departments to verify asset information and inventory.
• Prepare and post journal entries and reconcile balance sheets and GL accounts.
• Review departmental transactions and supplier invoices for proper accounting.
• Assist with biennial physical inventory of capital assets and resolve discrepancies.
• Support audits and stay updated on accounting standards and policies.
