Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking a Lead Project Manager, Capital Projects (CapEx) to steer major investment projects that expand manufacturing capacity and boost capabilities. You will manage a portfolio from concept to handoff, ensuring safe, on-time delivery within budget and aligned with business goals.

You'll oversee planning, budgeting, procurement, and stakeholder coordination across Engineering, Operations, Facilities, and Finance to drive growth and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Operations, Construction Management or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience managing capital projects, industrial equipment installations, facility expansions, or manufacturing projects.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with budget, scope, and schedule responsibility.
• Knowledge of capital budgeting, project financials, forecasting, procurement processes, and vendor management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and project management tools.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive projects to completion in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of capital projects supporting manufacturing, facilities, infrastructure, and equipment expansion.
• Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and implementation strategies for successful execution.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including Engineering, Operations, Facilities, Quality, Finance, Procurement, and vendors.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, spending, and capital approval documentation.
• Oversee equipment procurement, installation, qualification, and production handoff activities.
• Track milestones, risks, action items, and critical-path activities for on-time delivery.
• Prepare status updates, dashboards, and executive-level presentations.
• Drive issue resolution, change management, and ongoing stakeholder communication.
• Ensure compliance with capital project processes, safety requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Support long-range capital planning, budgeting, and strategic growth initiatives.
