DSJ Global is seeking a Capital Projects Engineer for a growing food manufacturing organization in the Greater St. Louis area.

You will lead capital projects from concept through installation, commissioning, startup, and handoff, coordinating with operations, maintenance, quality, engineering, contractors, and suppliers. The role requires a strong engineering foundation and hands-on project management in manufacturing; experience in food/beverage/CPG is highly preferred, with the ability to

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing with capital projects.
• Experience managing equipment upgrades, process improvements, and large initiatives.
• Experience in food, beverage, or CPG environments preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, schematics, layouts.
• On-site construction and startup involvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital projects from concept to handoff.
• Define scope, budgets, timelines, and technical requirements.
• Develop and track detailed project schedules and milestones.
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
• Manage procurement timelines and supplier communications.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance on site.
