Job summary

Nestlé Purina North America in St. Louis seeks an Expert Project Engineer to manage capital projects end to end, from concept to commissioning, coordinating with clients and internal teams. The role requires leading design, construction, and startup activities to ensure milestones are met and project scope is controlled.

Travel is required (30–75%) to support multi-site initiatives, and the position offers a competitive rewards package with opportunities to influence manufacturing excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field with 7+ years of project management experience in manufacturing/industrial/military or related field.
• Associate's Degree with 10+ years of project management experience in manufacturing/industrial/military or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of pre-project approval documents (charter, management plan, kick start, estimates, milestones).
• Ensure design progress and deliverables meet key components.
• Receive design details to coordinate bid package development and release for construction bidding and field execution.
• Direct and execute installation, construction and commissioning of assigned projects.
• Manage adherence to milestones and scope; secure approvals for changes per engineering methodology.
• Provide construction management and plant startup assistance to ensure successful project execution.
