Job summary

Cérélia North America is seeking a Capex Engineer for our Hazelwood, MO facility to lead capital projects in food manufacturing. You will define scopes, develop cost estimates, manage schedules, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery through startup.

The ideal candidate has a engineering degree, 3+ years in project/process engineering, and strong knowledge of electrical/mechanical systems and P&IDs. On-site, with PMP or equivalent certification being a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in project and process engineering in food manufacturing or related industry.
• Solid understanding of industrial electrical systems, automation, mechanical systems, pneumatics and fluid handling.
• Experience interpreting P&IDs, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings.
• PM certification (PMP) or equivalent is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Define comprehensive project scopes with cross-functional teams.
• Develop and manage detailed project timelines and budgets (Gantt charts).
• Lead and oversee large, complex projects from initiation through startup.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and external contractors with clear roles and accountability.
• Oversee procurement timelines and ensure on-time delivery of materials and services.
