Job summary

Legal Project Management Partners in Northern Puerto Rico seeks an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead CAPEX projects for pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. You will manage construction, renovations, infrastructure, utilities, and facility upgrades from planning through closeout, ensuring safety, quality workmanship and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing construction, facilities, or CAPEX projects.
• Experience supporting construction within pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage pharmaceutical construction and CAPEX projects from planning and design through construction, turnover, and closeout.
• Define project scope, deliverables, execution plans, schedules, and resource requirements.
• Develop and monitor capital budgets, cost estimates, commitments, expenditures, and forecasts.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee construction activities involving facilities, utilities, infrastructure, and manufacturing areas.
• Review drawings, specifications, proposals, and construction documents for alignment with project requirements.
• Support procurement activities, contractor selection, bid evaluations, and contract administration.
• Manage scope changes, change orders, project risks, and issues affecting cost, schedule, or quality.
• Coordinate shutdowns, tie-ins, and construction activities to minimize disruption to manufacturing operations.
• Monitor contractor performance and adherence to site safety procedures, permits, and construction standards.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, Maintenance, and EHS teams.
• Coordinate construction completion, commissioning readiness, punch list resolution, and facility turnover.
