Job summary

Uber Technologies Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer II on the CEE team to build capacity planning systems that determine infrastructure needs, where it runs, and what it costs.

You will own end-to-end development of forecasting models, data pipelines, and spend plans, collaborating with Product, Data Science, Finance, and infra teams. This role offers impactful work, in-office collaboration, and opportunities to shape how Uber scales globally.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience in backend or distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Go, Java, Python, or C++.
• Experience with data modeling and query optimization.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience writing tests and monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain capacity planning code and pipelines.
• Build and scale data pipelines joining demand, usage, and cost attribution.
• Improve forecast accuracy and backtest against historical data.
• Own lifecycle end-to-end including design docs and debugging production issues.
