Uber's Finance Data Platform team powers financial and profitability insights across LOBs and products. We build trusted data products and scalable metrics used for reporting, forecasting, and capital planning.

As an App Developer / Data Analyst II, you will own key financial metrics, build scalable reporting views, and translate data into clear recommendations that influence strategic decisions and capital allocation at Uber.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative and business field.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with large-scale analytical data warehouses.
• Proficiency in Python or R for analysis, automation, and data quality checks.
• Experience building dashboards for finance or business stakeholders using modern BI tools.
• Ability to structure ambiguous problems, define metrics, and run end-to-end analyses.
• Excellent communication and data storytelling to convey complex concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Finance, FP&A, Accounting, Product, Operations, and Data Science to understand measures of revenue, costs, margins, and profitability.
• Own and refine core financial and profitability metric definitions and ensure consistent implementation.
• Design, build, and maintain data models, views, and dashboards as a single source of truth.
• Design GenAI-powered self-serve analytics tools that provide fast answers from Finance Data Platform data.
• Analyze large-scale datasets to identify trends, drivers, and anomalies in revenue and cost.
• Support planning and capital allocation with data-driven insights on ROI and trade-offs.
• Define and track KPIs for new products and initiatives, ensuring consistent measurement over time.
• Improve metric quality by collaborating on data pipelines, controls, and reconciliation.
• Communicate analyses and trade-offs clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
