Job summary

North American Savings Bank (NASB) seeks a Chief Accounting Officer to lead accounting integrity, reporting, and internal control governance. This role partners with the CEO, CFO, regulators, auditors, and the Board to ensure accurate GAAP statements and compliant filings.

The CAO will drive a disciplined close process, policy governance under U.S. GAAP, and a robust control environment aligned with SOX-like standards.

Qualifications

• CPA is required and advanced degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• 15+ years of accounting leadership experience in banking or regulated institutions.
• Experience with U.S. GAAP, regulatory reporting, internal controls, and complex accounting matters.
• Public accounting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee GAAP financial statements and regulatory filings with accuracy.
• Manage close processes, internal controls, and governance framework.
• Coordinate with CEO, CFO, regulators, and the Board on financial reporting.
• Lead audits, examinations, and remediation of findings.
