The Outreach Team in Fremont, NE is seeking Field Directors to lead canvass operations and train staff while driving campaign goals. You will manage 40–60 hourly canvassers, set targets, and report progress to senior staff, building a strong, inclusive office culture.

This role emphasizes frontline leadership, weekly on-site canvassing, and ongoing staff development to advance community organizing and civic engagement.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of 40–60 hourly staff who will canvass door to door to talk to community members about local clean energy storage projects and build community support for a reliable, affordable energy future.
• Canvass yourself several days a week to train staff and drive office goals.
• Set goals and hold staff accountable to them.
• Train and provide ongoing motivation and support to staff.
• Identify, promote, and train a leadership team.
• Build a diverse team where staff feel respected while fostering a culture of equity and justice.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure the integrity of the work.
• Maintain a healthy and safe working environment for all staff.
• Develop strategic plans to reach targeted constituents in assigned locations.
• Manage administrative duties, including reporting data, record keeping, processing payroll, and distribution of materials.
