Job summary

The Outreach Team is seeking a Field Director in Fremont, NE to lead a 40–60 person canvass team and train staff while driving office goals. You will manage reporting, set targets, and build a leadership slate to scale campaigns effectively on the ground.

You will train canvassers, coordinate with deputy and lead directors, and uphold equity and safety across field operations in a locally focused political campaign environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of 40-60 hourly staff who will canvass door to door to talk to community members about local clean energy storage projects and build community support for a reliable, affordable energy future.
• Canvass yourself several days a week to train staff and drive office goals.
• Set goals and hold staff accountable to them.
• Train and provide ongoing motivation and support to staff.
• Identify, promote, and train a leadership team.
• Build a diverse team where staff feel respected while fostering a culture of equity and justice.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure the integrity of the work.
• Maintain a healthy and safe working environment for all staff.
• Develop strategic plans to reach targeted constituents in assigned locations.
• Manage administrative duties, including reporting data, record keeping, processing payroll, and distribution of materials.
