Job summary

The Outreach Team in Nebraska is seeking Field Directors to lead canvassing efforts and train staff while engaging communities across the state.

You will manage 40–60 hourly staff, set goals, report data, and promote equity and inclusion while building an office from the ground up.

This role requires leadership, hands-on canvassing, and the ability to work long hours, including evenings and weekends, with a comprehensive benefits package.

• Lead from the front and canvass several days a week.
• Extreme attention to detail and a proven ability to instill that quality in others.
• Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills.

• Track record of equity and inclusion; ability to work long hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of 40–60 hourly staff who canvass door to door.
• Canvass yourself several days a week to train staff and drive goals.
• Set goals and hold staff accountable.
• Train and motivate staff with ongoing support.
• Identify, promote, and train a leadership team.
• Build a diverse team and foster equity and inclusion.
• Implement quality control to ensure work integrity.
• Maintain a healthy and safe working environment.
• Develop strategic plans to reach targeted constituents.
• Manage administrative duties, including reporting data and payroll.
• Distribute materials effectively.
• Collaborate with Lead and Deputy Directors to scale operations.
